The Person Behind 3Bird

Meet Oscar Bout, Founder

Oscar is a Dutch software entrepreneur with over two decades of hands-on experience in software development, team leadership, and digital product delivery. After building and scaling development teams across the Netherlands and beyond, he founded 3Bird with a straightforward conviction: European-quality software doesn't have to come with a European-sized price tag.

What started as a way to connect reliable offshore developers with Dutch clients evolved — under Oscar's direction — into something bigger: a structured model where European supervision and AI-powered development work together. He brought in the 3Bird AI Lab concept not as a gimmick, but as a natural extension of his belief that the right human judgment, applied at the right moment, is what separates good software from great software.

Oscar remains actively involved in client strategy, CTO engagements, and the continuous improvement of how 3Bird works. He's also the reason every project gets at least one "is this actually the right technical approach?" conversation before a line of code is written.
